LGE advises on CBRN detection architecture and program design, with particular depth in radiological and nuclear detection and preventive radiological/nuclear detection (PRND) programs.

We consider detection performance, equipment selection, and placement alongside personnel, procedures, decision responsibilities, and operating conditions. The aim is to connect what a program can detect with how its personnel interpret findings and respond within the program’s mission.

In radiological and nuclear detection, that includes the operational realities that shape performance in the field: alarm adjudication, distinguishing naturally occurring radioactive material from materials of concern, the transition from primary alarm to secondary screening, and technical reachback when a finding needs expert interpretation.

Engagements are scoped to the client’s mission, operating environment, existing guidance, and partner responsibilities.

Training for the personnel who operate CBRN detection and response programs, with emphasis on radiological and nuclear detection. The focus is operational: interpreting findings, applying procedures, and making sound decisions when conditions are imperfect and time is short. Training is scoped to each organization’s personnel and mission.

Exercises that let program owners practice detection, decision-making, and coordination across personnel and organizations before an actual event requires them.

AI CBRN Misuse Evaluation & Red Teaming

For AI developers and the third-party testing and evaluation providers they retain.

LGE evaluates potential AI-enabled CBRN misuse with a focus on operational enablement: whether an AI system’s assistance could create a credible operational advantage for someone seeking to cause CBRN harm. This practitioner-led perspective complements evaluations of scientific and engineering enablement.
